Latter-Day Disciple is a venue dedicated to the teachings, practices, members and events related to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Content is determined based on the following criteria:

  • We believe that the true source of happiness, fulfillment and endurance in this life is our Savior Jesus Christ, his gospel and his atonement. “…we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according[ly]…” 2 Nephi 25:26
  • We believe that we are God’s children and our purpose in life includes experiencing lasting joy, continually learning, growing righteous families, adhering to correct principles and ordinances, loving and living commandments and covenants, serving others and sharing the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the tools that have been provided by a loving Heavenly Father including ancient scripture, modern revelation, prophets, prayer, the Holy Ghost and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We expound and encourage the use of these in enduring life’s trials and reaping blessings.
  • We believe that all of God’s children have valuable stories, through which we come to love each other as individuals and gain insight into our own mortal experience. We believe all of these stories – tragedies, comedies, faithful, broken, etc. – all deserve to be voiced. We aim to give them a platform to be heard from.
  • We believe the hand of God and words of truth can be found in unexpected places. We strive to illuminate those connections.
  • We seek to uplift, strengthen, fortify, empower, move to action and serve all of our brothers and sisters. We seek to be uplifted, strengthened, fortified, empowered, moved to action and to accept service from others.
